Once in high school I covertly confirmed an answer to a hard question on a test with the smart young lady next to me. When I found our answers differed, I re-evaluated the question/answer and promptly agreed with her.

I could care less about the steroid issue personally. What I do care about is the Brewers. According to my sources Gagne was listed as an injury prone risk without the roids. I am worried the Brewers took an expensive flyer on a guy who won't see the field much.

I'm pretty sure that HGH wasn't illegal even as early as about 4 or 5 years ago, maybe even more recent. So many of the players on that list are just on their as if to say "today, you would be in trouble." It seems like a big character assassination thing in many of the cases.

I don't know. Clemens' explanation seemed pretty weak. I didn't listen to the whole thing, but even the inconsistencies in McNamee's story/behavior don't really seem all that peculiar. He acted exactly how you'd expect a person trying to protect himself and those around him for a while before eventually, begrudgingly, coming clean.

Clemens' entire "defense" was based on the fact that Andy Pettitte "mis-remembered" a conversation that had taken place. Despite the fact that the conversation was corroborated multiple times. Even assuming the word Clemens spent all afternoon searching for was "misinterpreted," it's still a pretty flimsy excuse to what is really just one small portion of the whole case against him.
