Fathers Day

With a couple days until Fathers Day, I wanted to say a few words. I am usually not one to get all sentimental, preferring to always keep things light and lively. However, yesterday I went to pick out a fathers day card and found it terribly difficult. Having a semi-estranged relationship with my own Dad - fueled by divorce, bad decision making, and the turning globe; I found myself tearing up while reading some of the messages on the cards I had to choose from. I hope everyone - be you a father, a son, a daughter, or any combination of the above will take a moment to reflect on your own relationships and fatherhood in general. Every year a find myself regretting not making the effort to improve a situation that means so much to me. Hopefully this coming year brings about that change. Cheers.
