Lisa: Thats right. A girl want to play football. How about that.
Ned: Well, thats super-duper, Lisa. We've already got four girls on the
team.
Lisa: [let down] You do?
Ned: Ah huh. But we'd love to have you onboard!
Lisa: Well... football's not really my thing... after all... what kind of
civilised person would play a game with the skin of an innocent pig?!
Ned: Well, actually, Lisa, these balls are synthetic!
Janey: And for every ball you buy, a dollar goes to Amnesty International!
Lisa: [crying] I've gotta go!

Dr. Emmett Brown: Ah! What did I tell you? [jumping triumphantly] 88 miles per hour!
Dr. Emmett Brown: The temporal displacement occurred at exactly 1:20am and *zero* seconds!
Marty McFly: [picks up the license plate then drops it awkwardly] Ah, Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ, Doc, you just disintegrated Einstein!
Dr. Emmett Brown: Calm down, Marty, I didn't disintegrate anything. The molecular structure of both Einstein and the car are completely intact.
Marty McFly: Then where the hell *are* they?
Dr. Emmett Brown: The appropriate question is, "*When* the hell are they?" You see, Einstein has *just* become the world's first time-traveler! I sent him into the future. One minute into the future to be exact. And at precisely 1:21am and zero seconds, we shall catch up with him and the time machine.
....
Marty McFly: Wait a minute, Doc. Ah... Are you telling me you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?
Dr. Emmett Brown: The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?
Incidentally, not to derail something that people finally started to "play" but I feel like we've sort of veered down "word association" road, which could be another game altogether.
This game is about flagship series/songs/scenes. So in other words, take Wendy's BTTF example. The object isn't your fav quote or first quote that comes to mind from Back to the Future, necessarily. (Roads? Where we're going we don't need...roads.) The idea would be that if you had to "sum up" the movie, or say you had one 3 minute clip to play for someone that would get the plot/spirit of the movie across, what would it be.
So, in general, if you were to bring up "Clerks," or any Kevin Smith movie, a good candidate would be when Silent Bob gives his speeches.
Ok, that's the end of the rant.
Since I believe Wendy tossed me the rock, I'll toss it back.

How about we play where 3 people have to accept the answer by using the nutty ratings before we move on? Let's say you have to average 3 or more after 3 votes before the answer is accepted and your "continuation" is live.

Just make the game so complicated and rule ridden that no one wants to play - then everyone can go back to the finer points of arguing Exodus.

The nutty thing was just a hypothetical "how can we make actually make this, and perhaps future things, a 'game'" (so we could have a winner, scores, and whatnot, to make it more fun and not just a string of posts.
The "word association" comment was just to remind everyone what the point was originally. I thought it might "spur discussion" if I say named a band and the first person said one song and two people could be like "you're crazy, if I had one song of band ___'s to play it would obviously be ____" Instead of I say a band, you respond with anything you want, and we all move on.
Whatever, screw you guys.

HOw about a game of word/phrase association- where someone just says something, and the first thing that pops into your head is the response. That's it, no other rule.

I think Mr. Colon has misinterpreted a few facts about Jeremy. He's not in the DoD, but he is known in some circles as an expert "Battleship" player so I can see where there could be some confusion. Also, E5 does not refer to his class or pay grade. It is actually Jeremy's favorite opening move, also known as the "Nimitz Gambit".
