JonI have zero medical expertise and no first-hand experience, but I watch a ton of sports, so I feel comfortable saying that high ankle sprains are no joke. Mahomes will not be close to 100% and therefore KC will not be 100%. Even if they're the better team when he's healthy (and that's a big if) that margin no longer exists. Can we talk about Joe Burrow for a second? That dude is feeling himself. I mean, you just don't wear the clothes he wears unless you love you some you. But regardless of what you think of his sartorial choices, it's clear the dude is confident. And he, as much as anyone, looks ready to be the new face of the league. I see Mahomes and Burrow as the new Manning and Brady. In the early days of their primes, it seemed ridiculous (and in some ways still does) to say anyone is on par with Manning. But Brady had that Joe Montana "it" factor and just kept winning and looking good doing it. Can't you see Joe Burrow doing something similar? It may be a relatively small group, but there are already people who would argue he's the best QB in the league right now. If he wins the Super Bowl this year, the talking heads will be in an all-out brawl to see who can be the loudest one to declare that he sits atop the QB mountain, even above Mahomes. And we're all probably gonna instinctively take sides and convince ourselves it matters. |

It's conference championship weekend, so how about some analysis? Let's do it.If Brock Purdy is ever going to look like a 7th round rookie QB, it's gonna be here. And that's what I expect to happen. Philly is the real deal.
