What's the point in watching a game in which I want both teams to lose? Luckily, I be in a place where I may be too distracted to watch anyway. | ||

I'll seriously consider a complete Fantasy Football boycott because of this http://espn.go.com/nfl/conversations/_/id/7537208/nfl-adding-more-thursday-games-schedule-commissioner-roger-goodell-says |

So ... one more game 'til baseball! Well and a few more months of absolute boredom in the sports world. |

did anyone actually watch this game? I watched the last couple of plays. It felt very freeing to be able to know that the Super Bowl was on, having the ability to watch it, but choosing not to. |

Also, this is from my game comment: "I don't hate the Patriots, and having Tom Brady on my fantasy team has helped me appreciate him." And this is from last week's thread: Jon Wrote - 01/19/2014 @ 02:12:37 PM ... I'm not a Patriot hater. I kind of like them sometimes. I think having Tom Brady in fantasy and then having some of the other players might have helped over the years. You gotta be amazed at how good they are. ... |

We were supposed to comment on these games?Sarah
I hate these teams, bring on baseball!Jon
This is the least I've cared about who wins the Super Bowl for a few years now. I don't hate the Patriots, and having Tom Brady on my fantasy team has helped me appreciate him. I'm also a fan of Eli Manning and think it'd be cool to see him win again. I'm cheering for the Giants, I think, but it doesn't feel intense right now. Maybe once the game starts. The Giants seem to be the team of choice since they have the team of destiny quality to them. I'm also picking them, but I expect a tough game. It's interesting to note, though, that the Giants had a stretch of 4 straight losses this season. The Patriots lost 3 games total. Of course, as we've seen, that doesn't really matter, but it does give a bit of concern. Actually though, the Giants lost to some good teams and the Patriots' schedule, at least in my mind, didn't seem quite as tough.
The Patriots have a terrible defense. It's funny though, the Giants' defense is really not much better. Actually, they gave up more PPG than New England did. They were only slightly better than the Patriots in YPG. Still, if you look at the weapons each defense will have to stop, it seems like a much tougher task for that Patriots. Sure Brady is really good, but how good will Gronkowski be? He's a huge part of their offense. Meanwhile, New York's got their weapons ready to go. Bradshaw might not be full strength, but Cruz, Nicks, and Manningham will be tough. Did you realize Julian Edelman is playing defense now? Hardly a good sign going into a game where you're trying to stop all three of those receivers.
