Ravens 20 @ Patriots 23 |
JeremyThe Ravens had just over 200 yards of offence last week. They won't be playing a newborn backup this week.

JonNew England's defense might be just what Joe Flacco needs. But I can't pick against New England when they're at home going against a team that doesn't play well on the road. I mean, I could, but I don't want to. The thing is, the Patriots' defense is so bad, they seem like the kind of team that loses in the playoffs. But they have been on a roll. |

There's a mistake on this site. I wasn't able to pick the Packers this week. Hopefully you can address that before the games on Sunday (that I still haven't decided whether or not I'll be watching anyway, yet). |

If Tony Romo completes a wide open pass, the Giants aren't even in the playoffs. Odd Fact: Daunte Culpepper has more Lambeau Field playoff victories than Aaron Rodgers. |

The Packers then play the Cowboys, getting off any bye week "rust" they supposedly had, blow out the offenseless 49ers and win in a shootout against the Patriots 49-45 to win back to back super bowls. {execute.getheartratebackdowntonormal} |

I'm proud of myself. The only live action I saw from either game was when they had the TVs on at Festival foods. Otherwise, I didn't watch a minute of either game.

Also, I know some Packer fans pretended like football didn't happen Sunday, but why does our picks page have to follow suit? |

Cunningham also went elsewhere but didn't play much. McNabb apparently was done before getting to Minnesota and Favre had a better year as a Viking than any of his years as a Packer. (Arguably.) |

Well, my point, other than manning being humorously befitting a trend, was that the Vikings have had a lot of old QBs show up for a year or two at the ends of their careers. Some have had pretty good years. Favre's 95 season was probably a relative equivalent to his 2009 season. |

Scott Wrote - Today @ 11:02:52 PM Favre's 95 season was probably a relative equivalent to his 2009 season. Yeah, as I've said, I think the passing game is different enough from '95 to '09 that comparing isn't just a matter of numbers. But I like to bring out that nugget anyway just for kicks. |

Giants 20 @ 49ers 17
Jeremy
Considering they were the number 2 seed, it would be almost impossible for a person who follows football to know less about the 49ers than I do at this point.Sarah
I hate football.Jon
It's tough for me to pick against Eli Manning in a big game like this. The teams played a close game recently. But the 49ers defense is good. Drew Brees and his offense put up a bunch of points, but that's their offense. The Giants can score, but they're a little inconsistent if you look at the whole season. I know they're healthy now, but will they be able to score enough? I think the 49ers have the right combination of offense and defense.
