Vikings 18 @ Patriots 28 |
JeremyI think T-Jack leads the Vikings to another narrow loss, at which point the fans and media start discussing him as if Brett Favre was leading this same offense to 500 yards and 50 points a week.
SarahThe streak is going to be over. Started in Green Bay, ended in Green Bay. Didn't Majik even have an ankle injury?
JonFavre. Streak. Ankle. Childress. Jackson. Moss. Belichick. Bieber. |
Steelers 10 @ Saints 20 |
JeremyI still hate the Saints.
SarahSaints kind of forgot that there's a season to play after you win the Super Bowl. Get it together people! Or not, since the NFC isn't very good which could mean the Packers make the playoffs.
JonIf the Saints had their top two running backs, it could be different. |
Texans 17 @ Colts 30 |
JeremyIt it just me, or does it seem like the NFL really wants to convince us this is some huge nasty rivalry that the entire nation should care about?
SarahColts got their collective asses kicked by the Texans earlier this year. Like Peyton's going to just let that slide...
JonIf they weren't the Colts, it'd be harder to pick them. But they are the Colts. Even if that doesn't mean what it used to. |

Wow, I'm picking against the Packers for the 2nd consecutive week. Not only is that mostly unheard of in NutCandom (picking against your own team, period, is a move made only by the few), but doing it twice in a row, even with the team having a winning record at the time of the second pick. Well, it worked last week. Hopefully the refs receive Aaron Rodgers' payment in time for Sundays game.

I guess it shouldn't be that shocking. All of ESPN picks the Jets. Not only is it not shocking, it's not even surprise. I read (past tense, even though they're spelled the same) the first paragraph from ESPN's preview: The New York Jets are emerging from their bye refreshed and healthy. The Green Bay Packers appear to be anything but. That should say pretty much the whole thing. Jets are healthy and coming off a bye week, Packers are as banged up as their franchise has ever been in its history, and are coming off a week where even more players got put on IR. Recipe for disaster. Edit: I'm listed as "doubtful" for Sunday's game. |

I'm still undecided about who I want to pick on Sunday. It might make pick sense to go with the J - E - T - S! |

Of course the Jets ran a fake punt on 4th and 2939 from their 30. Teams have to play their worst/stupidest game against the Packers, it's a rule. Have some points please! |

That wasn't an INT. It wasn't dual possession. The defender had one arm in there somewhere, with a clean catch made, then it gets torn away after the fact. They give that call to the defense roughly no other times in the history of the NFL. Naturally this will almost certainly stand. Edit: Shocking |

Also, what good does it do to have the EX VP of officiating come in and comment about the theoretical rulings of plays. Establish what the call SHOULD be, not what the end results of what the call made will be. It's good to know what the ruling on dual possession is, but unless dual possession is defined as "One guy actually has both arms on around the ball with it against his body while another guy may or may not even be making contact with the ball" then it doesn't apply. Furthermore, that call goes the offense's way every other time that has ever happened, so what's different about that play? Talk about the actual play that happened, not what rule would apply if it was something it might not be. |

Dear announcers, it's not illegal contact because Rodgers was out of the pocket, which is, incidentally, exactly what the ref said when explaining why they picked up the flag. He didn't use the word "incidental" once in said explanation, so why you all spent the next 5 minutes telling the world that wasn't "incidental" and how the Packers got hosed is beyond explanation. But again, don't actually watch the game, just watch enough so that you can go off on 5 minute jags about things that didn't actually happen. |

Unfuckingbelievable. Why don't the refs just intercept the ball for the Packers. |

The Packers would be losing by 90 if the Jets were actually capable of catching passes. |

Packers had scoring drives of 34, 34 and 1. Way to show up Jets. (Of course 2 turnovers that weren't, especially that last one that changed everything, don't help) |

lol You also forgot how the Jets released a D lineman so that he could sign with the Packers and give them some semblance of a run defense. |

Really, Minnesota? You waived Moss? Is it just me, or is that franchise on the verge of utter collapse? Even if they aren't, they have had some pretty bad PR since the season started. |

I came here to post "Verge?" but it seems my nut can comment checker only checks every eternity. This year was their window of opportunity. Half the roster becomes free agents next season. This season still isn't over. They've lost to some of the best teams in the league by a combined half point, and have caught about every bad break possible along the way, and have needed everyone of them to lose. The easy part of their schedule lays ahead. Ending 10-6 is hardly out of the question, or wouldn't have been, before they sent Moss packing in a fit of incompetence only they could pull off. As usual I see them finishing as the last team looking in on the playoffs, so they can't pull some playoff upsets, and get a shitty draft pick. The Vikings biggest fault is sucking at being good. Their second biggest fault is sucking at sucking. |

I thought they still had a chance to get back in it until this move. No chance to see that dream receiver set of Rice, Harvin and Moss now! Everyone is now laughing at the Vikings and Childress in particualr. Do you think free agents are going to want to come play here now? Moss went from one ofthe greatest coaches in NFL history to one of the most inept idiots of all time, who only got a contract extention because Brett played out of his mind last year. It's time forChilly to go before this gets any worse. |
Alex - But let history remember, that as free men, we chose to make it so! 11/07/2010 @ 10:38:23 AM |

Packers 9 @ Jets 0
Jeremy
Remember when Brett Favre went to the Jets and everyone was talking about this game being a hypothetical reunion if he decided to play extra years and the giant deal Brett Favre playing the Packers would be. Good times.Sarah
I'll probably switch my pick before it's all said and done, but let's face it, the Packers have too many injuries for this year to be their year.Jon
Jets defense dominates the Packers, and enjoys cheeseburgers in the process.
