Texans 21 @ Vikings 28 |
MattThe Vikings suck. Fire Brad Childress. | |
SarahThe Vikings won't suck it up enough to lose to the Texans, but then again anything's possible. (See previous post) | |
JeremyI think this will mark the first time I'll have seen the Texans in person, which makes me wonder how many other teams I've never seen. | |
JonBye week then Houston? Minnesota has no excuse. |
Patriots 15 @ Colts 18 |
MattBoth these teams suck now. | |
SarahThis is so played out. Happy Halloween and Halloween weekend. May it be Spooktacular. | |
JeremyNo Brady and lackluster football so far by both teams. Something tells me the NFL execs had higher hopes for this game. | |
JonIt almost pains me to not pick Indianapolis, especially in this game. But it's not the same anymore. Remember how different of a game this was last year? I think I cheered as hard for the Colts to beat New England as I did for the Vikings to beat just about anybody. |
Steelers 23 @ Commanders 6 |
MattI'm sick of the Steelers already. | |
SarahThis looks like a good game. Of course, when anyone says that, it usually ends up being a blow out or something. | |
JeremyMewelde Moore has to be in the early running for the Fantasy Football HOF, right? | |
JonThe Steelers again. I'm still not sure if they're good. |

Especially now that they've created a hole at the WR position. This Halloween theme could use a little TLC it seems. |

Now lets hope he's one of the many players (QB's in particular) in NFL history to show promise in a contract year, then ultimately tank. |

Over 6 years it doesn't seem like a ton, maybe a little high and/or a little early for that kind of commitment. The key thing in football is the guaranteed money, because besides that a team can pretty much just cut anybody and be done with it. Seems like you can really screw yourself with bad contracts more in other sports (like the Bucks). I'm not really drawing much for a list of highly paid tanking QBs, not counting draft picks...? Culpepper was a bust but I don't think it cost Miami that much did it? |

Packers release KGB. |

---|---|---|
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3676865 Can't anyone stay retired now a days? I feel bad about KGB, but what has he done for us lately? Notta. |
Alex - I don't need to get steady I know just how I feel 11/01/2008 @ 05:19:43 PM |
||
---|---|---|
Well, it was kind of silly that he retired in the first place. Clearly Culpepper admires Favre so much that he is trying to imitate him. Which leads me to next point, that story says he has great knowledge of the NFC North, but I think a lot has changed in the last 2.5 years, so I'm not sure what helpful knowledge he really has. At least the Packer's defense has totally changed from what it was in 2005, with KGB gone Al Harris might be the only player left really? Survey says...also Nick Collins, Nick Barnett (totally didn't realize this was his 6th year already), Aaron Kampman (b4 he was Aaron Kampman), and Colin Cole. |
Jeremy - I hate our freedoms 11/01/2008 @ 05:58:43 PM |

No kidding. I mean really he'd know nothing about even the Vikings. He probably only played with a handful of guys. |

Packers are lucky Jennings and Driver are so awesome. Rodgers' throws seem pretty low today. | ||

How heartbreaking. I blame Rodgers, but I'm sure his millions will comfort him. |
Alex - You've got to trust your instinct, and let go of regret 11/02/2008 @ 06:14:39 PM |
||

They should've been gutsier on their last possession, instead of being satisfied to throw a short pass, not get a first down, and punt. Either throw it past the line of gain, or if you're going to punt anyway, try a 40 yard hail mary or something. They just wussed out, which means you lose but no you one can blame you for "making the safe play". And I blame Jennings for not playing very well, instead of whining about pass interference on that long pass he should've caught the ball because he got both hands on it. Also, I'm blame the defense for dropping 5 interceptions. Edit: forgot about Rodgers' fumble, that was unacceptable |

Jennings admitted he should have caught the ball. It wasn't Rodgers fault - that contract was smart. |

Packers 16 @ Titans 19
Matt
Kerry Collins for MVP!!!Sarah
I had a post here about how the Packers D has to play their best game and the Packers Offense needs to have a perfect balance of running and passing, but I think I misplaced it. Titans running game has quite the 1, 2, punch. Also, to make the next comment make sense I think I also said that nothing's impossible, so I am going with the Packers on this one.Jeremy
This smells like another 3 int day for Mr. New Contract, but 1-2 will suffice.Jon
Brett Favre has been a Titan and a Packer!
