Packers 33 @ Falcons 25 |
JeremyHere's hoping the Falcons set some records against the Packers so us Viking fans can stop hearing about how pretty much every Falcon record is against the Vikings. Rodgers is in by the 4th quarter.
MattThe Packers suck more than Sportsman of the Year Doug Mientkiewicz.
JonNot a fan of either. | |
SarahI've crossed over. I can't do it anymore. I am out of the running because of my stupid boys. This hurts. Sigh. |
Browns 21 @ Steelers 34 |
JeremyI really could not have less to say about this game.
MattWriting comments sucks.
JonI think we've commented on Pittsburgh every week.
SarahDid anyone else see the cover of Sports Illustrated? Sarah is not happy. |
Cowboys 21 @ Eagles 20 |
JeremyPhilly is at home, and I don't trust Dallas yet so I'll give the Eagles one more week.
MattI don't like Parcells, but I find myself pulling for Dallas this season, so I'll go with them...plus the Eagles suck.
JonHere's what needs to happen. Picture it, a commercial featuring all of the NFL wide receivers with bad reputations doing a commercial thanking T.O. for making them look good in comparison. It can cut from Randy Moss to Joe Horn to Chad Johnson and even Freddie Mitchell, all giving thanks. Then at the end, Nomar says, "Thanks Beautiful."
SarahEnough with Philadelphia already. If I hear another word about their whole situation and now with the union and let him play I will kick someone in da nuts. I'm not kidding. Watch out Jeremy. |

When have we decided to start spelling Mientkiewicz wrong? "My vote for "worst trend of 2005": Coaches splitting carries between quality running backs and diluting their fantasy value. First, it's not fair to the millions of losers who live and die with their fantasy teams every week (like me, for example). Second, you're putting some fans in the awkward position of watching someone like Holmes get knocked semiconscious, then immediately getting excited because they have Larry Johnson on their team (which just makes everyone feel crummy). And third, there aren't nearly enough good running backs, anyway -- why hoard them? I just think it's selfish. Some poor fantasy fool has to start Sam Gado this week; meanwhile, Nick Saban is juggling Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams like he's toggling between two channels on a TV screen. You can go to hell, Nick Saban." The fool comment is in reference to me! |

yeah, lets implement some sort of communist scheme into the NFL. Oh wait, the salary cap takes care of that already. |

just for the record: The only time the Packers faced a team with a QB other than their usual starter was the Steelers. The Packers played the Joe Horn-less Saints, but Horn missed 3 games after that as well, so that hardly counts since other teams got the same break too(and let's face it, the Saints suck). So that's 2 games where the Packers faced a team that was less than 100%(if only slightly) The Vikings have played the Packers, who definitely qualify as a team significantly less than 100%. So while it may seem that the Packer ALWAYS seem to play a team's b-squad, that is definitely not the case. |

It was a Bill Simmons quote and I thought I would include the whole thing, even though I just really needed the thing about Sam Gado, because I picked up Sam Gado this week because I have no runningbacks. Man, talk about having to explain a joke until it loses all of its funniness. Is anyone else afraid their place of residence might get blown away? I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving! The Sperg was possibly the worst QB to ever play the game. |

wow. I really don't care if the Vikings end up winning this game, but the fact that they have more points (7) than total offensive yards (6) is just great. Way to go NFC North |

Can the Vikings offense do anything? So far I've seen their defense score and their special teams score twice. |

i think the Vikes got hosed on that call. It didn't matter whether his arm was going forward if the ball went backwards. But alas, it doesn't matter, because the vikes just picked off another pass. But for the record, I admitted that the Vikings had bad call not in their favor |

I don't want to jinx it, but Sarah, can you pick against the Packers every week? If the Packers hold on to win this game, it will be a 2 for 2 that the Packers win when you pick against them. |

If Scott means they are "Doubly Landlocked", which I think he does, than he is correct. They are both landlocked by countries that are landlocked themselves. That is, they are both at least 2 countries away from ocean access. |

the Packers are 2-7 and have scored 18 more points than they have given up. And talk about beating a good team. The Falcons were healthy, coming off a good week last week, and had almost every reason to believe that they were going to continue to win. But not this day. Michael Vick had nowhere to run. Woo! Winning feels kinda good. I almost forgot what it was like. |

Both of our teams won the "win one they shouldn't" games today. Good week for the Norse, maybe they haters will back off a bit. Recordwise we're hanging in there or better than a few. I'll be rooting for the Packers a few times over the course of the season. (Especially vs. the Bears) However for right now it's officially Packer/Viking week. Let the smack begin. |

well, 3rd worst or 5th best, how do you see it? This is really to the vikings credit, but it still very strange, but the fact that the Vikings didn't score an offensive touchdown, and their only offensive points came with like 10 seconds left, and they still managed to pull of a victory. That is kinda of bizzare. 24 points without any offensive numbers whatsoever until maybe the 4th quarter, that's something to brag about. I'm almost glad they won under those circumstances. Although I would have liked to see them lose. How does Edinger get a 30 yard field goal blocked and nail a 48 game winner. makes no sense, but then again, Edinger looks funny kicking. |

Edinger sux. He will go out of his way to miss field goals, then only make the ones that count. I am awesome because I picked up Gado. However, I suck because I am in last place this year with the picks. Even Matt is beating me. This is quite horrible. Atrocious even. Winning feels good. Plus, we might bring back Levens. I feel giddy. Plus, come Monday, it's redemption time. WOoooWOooo!!!! |

I'm not declaring the Vikings superiority (or the Lions as it were) but I wish people could stop declaring the NFC North as "locked up" Yeah the Bears have a 2 game lead, but look who they've played and look who they have coming up. Also the last game of the year is Bears @ Vikings which guarantees a chance at a one game makeup. |

and you'll probably be a huge packer fan during the following 6 weeks after next monday, because the Packers still play the lions once and the Bears twice. But in the Bears defense, they have a really good defense, and I'm pretty sure they beat up on the Vikings pretty bad when the two teams played. |

Vikings get crushed by the Falcons(with Vick out for some of the game), the Packers beat the same falcons team pretty handily. Vikings get crushed by Bengals, packers lose by 7 going down to the last drive. Vikings lose to the Bucs by 11, packers lose to the Bucs by 1. Somehow the Vikings found a way to pull of a W last time they played the Packers, but history tells that it won't happen this week. |

True. I mean when have the Vikings ever won in Lambeau? Actually the type of offense we switched to in the second half if the forst game is the one we run full time now. We'll just have to wait and see |

Vikings 24 @ Giants 21
Jeremy
I think an interesting strategy for the Vikings to take would be to tap into the Giants wireless communications and know what plays they're going to run at any given time. I can't believe no one has ever thought of it before.Matt
Mike Tice still sucks.Jon
If Minnesota can run the ball, they'll do alright.Sarah
The Giants own the Vikings. I don't care if Brad Johnson is the second coming of Brett Favre.
