JeremyI still don't thing KC is that great. Winning four weeks in a row on in the last few moments of the game doesn't mean a whole lot. 7-0 is impressive no matter who the teams are but I'm not totally sold yet.
MattChristian Okoye and Barry Word were the best one-two punch since Martin and Lewis.
JonTough game. If this were at Buffalo, I'd probably pick them. Kansas City was an important city in the history of Jazz. Buffalo is in New York.
SarahBuffalo was hot for like the first 2 weeks of the season, and Kansas City has been hot for the last 7. Hmm I wonder who will win. 8-0, that will be very impressive. However, the season isn't over til it's over and they could end up going 8-8 or 7-9 if they lose to buffalo. Everything's a toss up. When you get to the end of the season, it's always surprising to see who gets into the playoffs and who misses it. What I'm saying is that nothing is set in stone until the end. |
Dolphins 26 @ Chargers 10 |
JeremyRicky Williams was my first pick in the draft, #1 overall for that matter, so he better continue to do well. Wasn't it San Deigo that won thier first game just last week?
MattBoth teams are located in nice, warm, sunny climates. Both teams play in stadiums that used to be named after a person, but are now named after corporate entities. What all this means? I don't know. Miami 24 - San Diego 13
JonJunior Seau once played for San Diego. Did you know that? Yeah, he did. I have to admit, I thought the Chargers were going to do well this year. It doesn't look that way. Miami should take this one.
SarahAh San Diego had its first win last week. WEEK SEVEN! I don't see them stopping Ricky Williams. Junior Seau makes his return to San Diego. It's weird that he isn't a Charger. |

A joke maybe, and probably a lot of luck, but still pretty cool. Seriously. |

Comment on Jon's comment. You may laugh about the Freeman catch but let me just reminisce. The year? 2000. The setting? My dorm room down in Decorah, Iowa. Jeremy and Jon came down for the big Monday Night Game and for some food from the Caf. I was hopped up on pixie sticks and caffiene, my only defense for being the sole Packer fan on the floor. I work my Packer stocking cap and was ready for anything. The game was touch and go and then it happened. Nobody was quite sure it had happened, but the Packers won with a Favre by throw to Antonio Freeman. But this was no ordinary catch. This was stuff history is made of. Freeman had fallen and the ball had miracously never touched the ground. He got up and ran it in for a TD. Chris Dishman could just stand there because he didn't know what had just happened. I jumped up and screamed, it was a great feeling. Right after the refs confirmed that it was indeed a TD, Jeremy and Jon walked back to the car to leave. Jeremy was so mad, (not sure why it was directed at me) he wouldn't even say goodbye. Which is dumb because the distance between us was 2.5 hours. Thinking back on that victory makes me happy. Those are the things I have to cling to during this season. And cling I will. |

I should actually read and correct my comments before I comment. Oh well hopefully people can understand it. |

By the way, at the time I told Sarah to do her comments so I could activate this week she was surfing the internet and had the time to answer Matt's cereal blog, so it's not like I ripped the accounting text book out of her hands and forced her to type. |

I was eating while I was surfing and responding to Matt's cereal blog. Writing comments takes time and effort, and to make me do them when after eating I should've studied is ridiculous. Go HUSKIES!!! WON IN OVERTIME!! IN YOUR FACE MEMORIAL ALUMNI!!!!! |

I like Buffalo upsetting Kansas City... Kansas City hasn't impressed me yet, with the Raiders putting up a fight with them on Monday night, and Buffalo showed a little improvement last week beating the Redskins, even though that is not much of an accomplishment... they looked promising enough. |

This isn't really a comment about our picks or anything (but look at my record this week, hot dog!) but has to do with football in general. Ya know how they have that commercial that says the game is copyrighted by the NFL, yada yada yada? It shows a bunch of historic players and coaches and the last one they showed used to be Barry Sanders and then last year Emmitt Smith replaced him after he got the rushing record. Now, they've replaced Emmitt Smith with Donovan McNabb. Um, what? McNabb is good, and I loved him last year for my fantasy team but why is he the last guy on that commercial? It just doesn't make sense. He hasn't done anything spectacular to own that spot, ya know? Is this because of the Rush Limbaugh comment? If so, then that's ridiculous. I didn't get a good look at the commercial, so if i'm wrong, then my apologies. But that spot is reserved for spectacular players, or Emmitt Smith. :) J/k. But it's like they had Barry Sanders there because he's been one of the best runningbacks of all time, and then the torch was passed to Emmitt because he broke the rushing record. Why is McNabb all of a sudden there? Whatever. |

As long as Jim Thorpe is still in that commercial, I'm happy. (I actually haven't seen it with McNabb yet, but if I do, I would have to agree) It could be just that he is a current player who is quite good. Kinda like the greats of the Past and the goods of the present or something. |

I wonder if it's because Emmitt isn't a Cowboy anymore and they don't want to show him in either jersey. Then I was thinking, maybe they should have gone with another current great like Rice. But he's switched teams too. And then I guess rather than using Favre they went with a young guy. |

6-0 and it feels so good. Packer fans every where have to root extra hard against the Vikes these next couple of games. (Obviously next week they will be) If the Vikes go 8-0 and put the Packers at 3-5 the division is all but locked up. The Packers would need the Vikes to lose like all but one game and go 8-0 in the second half of the season.Matt
"The Play" (as it shall now be known as) reminds me of my days as a star flag football player. (Rubbing chin, looking upward)... Last play before the half, our QB (Jon, do you remember who) tosses up the Hail Mary. I play the tip off the hands of Dave Dexter and take it in for 6. Ah, good times.Jon
Seriously, did you see that Randy Moss play? There hasn't been that great an effort by a wide receiver since freeman made that catch against the Vikes on Monday night. Just for the record, that was a joke. Vikings 41-0.Sarah
Minnesota will win. That's unfortunately the way things are. I should be studying for my accounting test right now but Jeremy the slave driver is demanding I put these up right now. Couldn't wait until tonight when I have nothing to do. Therefore, my comments aren't as creative as they normally are.
