Colts 55 @ Saints 21 |
JeremyIndy is 3-0 and Nawlins is playing some craperific ball right now. Indy should take this one.
MattI think Jim Haslett has a good chance of pulling a Jim Mora this year in New Orleans. On the other hand Indianapolis and Tony Dungy have an even better chance to make the playoffs. Playoffs? Playoffs?
JonGood matchup. I like what Dungy does. He's one of the guys who I feel comfortable calling a defensive genius.
SarahAh the rival of the Colts and Saints. The Saints are always good at the beginning of the season, but this season that doesn't seem to be the case. The Colts are 3-0 and seem to have found a new weapon in their tight end. Gotta root for Aaron Brooks, but I don't seem New Orleans getting a W in their column this week. |
Packers 38 @ Bears 23 |
JeremyThe new Soldier Field looks weird. It’s too many styles of architecture for my tastes. The Packers own the Bears but after last week, it’s hard to say what will happen.
MattI don't think that Green Bay will lose two "should win" games in a row. Even though I'm gonna go with the Packers again this week I still hope Chicago wins.
JonA loss to Arizona...I may not pick the Packers the rest of the season.
SarahAh now here's a rivalry! After a disappointing start, the Pack should be able to bounce back against the even worse looking Bears. The Bears haven't won against the Packers in years. Favre consistently has some of his best games against the Bears. This game shouldn't come down to the final seconds, it should be a blow out. My score: Packers 31 Bears 12. I love MNF with the Pack! |

49ers 7 @ Vikings 35
Jeremy
The Gus Ferotte Era? I don’t think we'll know until game time if Daunte will be playing or not but it's a wonder they've won any games at all with Randy having a bad back all year, Daunte having a bad back now, and their Pro Bowl running back on the sidelines. Add to it that the Sass is hobbled and Chambies is on suspension and it’s a good thing we’ve played some crappy teams. Yeah that’s right.Matt
Really, I mean sure football is fun and all, but how can you get excited about the football season when the Twins are on the threshold of the playoffs once again. Minnesota over the Niners 34 - 12 and over the Yankees 3 games to 1.Jon
Playoffs, baby! Playoffs! Minnesota has clinched! On a different note, I watched last week's game in a bar and couldn't hear the sound all of the time. Since I didn't hear the announcers firsthand, I'm hesitant commenting on their performance. But from what I hear and read, they were giving Moss grief for leaving before the half was done. The reason for him leaving, of course, was because he was dealing with back spasms. He's reportedly been suffering from them since preseason and supposedly these were the worst he's had. Has any one else noticed that football announcers reapeatedly jump to conclusions and basically are guessing at everything they say? I understand that speculation is part of their job, but they need to preface it with the appropriate remarks to indicate that. And before they rip into a player -- any player -- they better be sure they can back it up. Again, I didn't hear most of the game on Sunday, so I realize I don't have much to go on for that specific case, but from what I've heard in the past, I'm beginning to wonder, in fact I ask you: Is there any reason I should watch any football game with the sound ON?
Sarah
I hope this is the game that brings the Vikings down. Unfortunately I don't feel that confident so I'm going with Minnesota. If Culpepper and or Randy Moss do not (doesn't?) play, then it may be a whole heck of a lot easier for San Fran to win. Or, is this suppose to be my comments on a Giants Twins World Series? Then of course definitely the Twins would win, right? :)
