Bears 13 @ Vikings 24 |
JeremyI'll still be flying high over the week one annihilation of the Packers for a few weeks. Hopefully the players don't feel the same way as over looking any team, even one that played perhaps the worst game of football I've ever seen last week, is a big mistake. The Vikes have a good shot of starting out 3-0 all against division opponents, that would be HUGE. I hope the Vikes D keeps making plays like they did, I hope all the INT and pressure last week was because they got better on D and not because for whatever reason the Vikings defense always seems to have Favre’s number.
MattThe Vikings should bring back Hassan Jones to counter the Antonio Freeman move by the Packers.
JonOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh. Now that Kansas City is about 4 back it's really between Chicago and Minnesota anyway.
SarahThese teams are not that great. From two of my professors my homework is to root for the Bears this weekend. will do. i don't know, the vikings could be for real but the pack just played really poorly last sunday. i felt so bad for Kordell Stewart that I wanted to cry for him after their 49ers loss. but, I'm sure he did that for himself. go Bears! |
Cowboys 35 @ Giants 32 |
JeremyMan did the Giants make Warner look like a Pop-Warner QB last week. Let the cleverness of that last sentance sink it a while... Quincy Carter flashes glimpses of being awesome but then sucks the other 90% of the time, hopefully for the Cowboys he can pull it together sooner than later, not that I feel sorry for them. I’m not sure the Parcells/Shockey thing will get quite the amount of media coverage it deserves leading up to this game either. In fact I might be the only person to bring it up.
MattThe more I see and hear about Bill Parcells, the more I dislike him. What kind of a nickname is "The Tuna" anyway. Kerry Collins for MVP!!!! Giants by 17
JonArt Monk for the Hall of Fame.
SarahDallas will always suck in my mind. i guess the giants are super bowl bound or something, but i don't see it that way. the tuna is back in new york, so i'm sure that people who care about that are making a big deal about it as i write. big whoop de DOO |

Is Jamal Lewis calling the fact that he was going to break the single game rushing yardage record and then doing it not the weirdest thing to happen is sports in the last few years? After the Viking game my Aunt got autographs from McKinnie on her McKinnie jersey, Culpepper on her Culpepper hat, and Tice, Biekert, and Kelly Campbell on my "Purple Pride Playbook." Not a bad haul. It also marked the 15th or so game in which I was the only person to know who Brian Russell was and yell his game and only get a nod and smile in response. P.S. Surfing the internet on your laptop going down I-94 is a surreal cool experience. |

I don't think our week 2 picks should count because obviously, I was on drugs when I made my picks. |

I'm going to very vaguely predict something big like breaking the single game rushing record and then wave my left hand in the general area of center field and the one time it comes true everyone will say, "wow, that guy predicted he would do this. What a competitor." No really, that was an awesome performance by Lewis, especially considering his injury a couple years ago. |

But it wasn't like he calls it every game or anything. It also wasnt like he called "I'm going to rush for 100+ and 2 TDs." It makes Babe Ruth's "point at the fence" homerun look like nothing. |

Lions 6 @ Packers 31
Jeremy
I've been touting the Lions as better than people are giving them credit for for a long time now. However I think Green Bay takes this one, but not by a lot and maybe not at all if their receiver situation isn’t rectified before Sunday. Freeman? Rison? Alexander? Monk?Matt
I like to think that Favre's/the Packers' year this year will be a sort of karmic backlash for the MVP voters screwing Barry Sanders out of the award outright in 1997.Jon
To me, the only reason to watch this game is for Joey Harrington and Charles Rogers. Other than that, this one's a snoozer. That's right, a snoozer. I think it will be close and all, but I have no real motivation for watching it. Except maybe that the Vikings won't be on until Sunday night. I'll choose the Packers cause they're at home.Sarah
What a complete breakdown last Sunday. Hopefully we can bring it all back together this sunday. With "Free" back I'm expecting big things and I think our season has totally done a 180 from the vikings game. um... right. Still, it's the lions and we are able to win albeit barely sometimes.
