Lions 24 @ Vikings 31 |
JeremyThe Sass might be back for this one. Joey Harrington is probably gonna put up 500 yards. The Vikes get a win this week, end of story. I'm throwing down a Doug Mientkiewicz like guarantee here. Detroit will NOT be celebrating in the Metrodome this week. I'm not affiliated with the Vikings in any way and this game doesn't have the weight that the Mientkiewicz-guarantee-game had, but I'm throwing it down none the less. The Vikings will cream the Lions into corn.
JonMinnesota should be able to take this one. But then again, the Lions' only win last year was over the Vikings (an event that most of us predicted would take place). What can be said about the Vikings at this point? No, really, I’m asking you what can be said. I’m running out of material. |
Dolphins 24 @ Broncos 22 |
JeremyThis one should be quite the battle. There's two good rushing teams involved but more importantly two good rushing defenses. This one is going to have to go to the air.
JonMiami has to lose sometime right? Well, maybe not. But wait a second, there’s a rumor that no one gets it done like Mike Shanahan. I think the Broncos can take it. And by the way, is Brian Griese getting any love from the fans out there yet? |
49ers 28 @ Seahawks 21 |
JeremyWe'll see if Seattle can rattle off two Prime Time miracle wins. They wont be playing the most unlucky team ever this time around though so they might have to actually put together a scoring drive that doesn't begin in the Red Zone. San Fran should have no trouble running away with this one.
JonThe early line in Las Vegas is that the 49ers will cream the Seahawks. The spread? "Into corn." I once saw an ESPN show about Jeff Garcia. He seemed like a pretty nice guy. San Francisco to win. Jeff Garcia for MVP!!!! |

Packers 28 @ Patriots 10
Jeremy
The Superbowl Champs everyone thought was a fluke take on the team everyone picked to make a Superbowl run. The Packers got their first win that wasn't decided by a last second lucky ass play last week. However, outside of last week the Patriots have looked scary and outside of last week the Packers have looked bland. As long as last week isn't a big factor the Patriots should take it. It will be interesting to see the whole Glenn returning thing, assuming he plays.Jon
Maybe the most intriguing matchup of the season so far. Green Bay is coming off their most legitimate of all of their wins and New England is in a bit of a slump after recently slipping out of championship form. I think that there is a good chance that the Patriots will be in the lead in the fourth and ready to kneel the ball when they suddenly fumble. The fumble will be picked up and returned for a touchdown by Brett Favre, who is inexplicably playing defense. The Packers will then go on to victory. But more likely, I think, is a Patriots win. But only slightly more likely.
