Packers 37 @ Lions 31 |
JeremyDetroit may be even worse this year than last year. They did almost take Green Bay at home last year at Thanksgiving. The Packers are awful on turf but the Lions are worse. Rodney Peete put up Kurt Warner-like numbers on the Lions secondary. The Lions and Ravens will be locked in an epic battle this season for the worst team in the league.
MattI'm getting that "upset" vibe from this one. The Packers haven't looked good their first two games and now will be without RB Ahman Green and RT Mark Tauscher. Plus, I think Lions rookie QB Joey Harrington may show us a thing or two in his first pro start.
JonIt’s on turf, at Detroit, Ahman Green is injured. Even so, the Pack is probably favored to take this one. But not here! Lions.
SarahOk, my faith has been shaken quite a bit. All of pre season I see experts picking the Pack to go to, and win, the Super Bowl. This made for a happy preseason. Now, we almost lost at home against the Falcons, and we lost to the Saints quite pathetically. If we can’t beat the rookies, we haven’t got a chance this year. Our defense hasn’t been performing as well as expected, and I blame it on Butler’s departure. |
Bengals 3 @ Falcons 30 |
JeremyVick and the gang get their first win of the season, they almost beat Green Bay and Chicago so they should have no trouble manhandling the Bungles. I think the bigger question is why in the hell was this game pegged as the prime time Sunday night game? The biggest rivalry scheduled, other than the MNF game below, was between a 7-9 and a 6-10 team that aren't even in the same conference?
MattAtlanta has come close to a win in their first two games of the season. If they're close with the Bengals in the fourth quarter though, they'll deserve to lose. Don't expect that to happen. Atlanta wins big at home.
JonIs it just me or are people overreacting to the whole "take his legs out" thing? Plain and simple, Vick and Dunn are too much for what could be the worst franchise in sports. Not even their pretty uniforms will score the Bengals any points. Steve Spurrier is not directly involved in this game.
SarahVick is good and the Bengals suck, I think that says it all. Or at least that is all I’m saying. |
Rams 14 @ Buccaneers 26 |
JeremySt. Louis isn't exactly on a roll. Tampa Bay is coming off of a confidence building shutout on the road. I actually am 90 percent sure the Rams will come away with a win here anyway and yet I picked the Bucs.
MattThe Rams are so 1999, and it looks like everyone knows it too. Opposing defenses finally seem to have learned how to stop the Rams offense, and the Bucs, with one of the better defenses in the league, should continue the trend. Plus Rams head coach Mike Martz really bugs me.
JonA high powered offense loses in the postseason to a talented yet underrated opponent, then unexplainably starts the next season devoid of any of the "flow" it once had. Has this ever happened before? Here’s my prediction: The Rams pull Jeff George off the bench and ride him to victory!
SarahWhen did St. Louis become so bad? I would just like to mention that this week I am picking conservatively. Last week I tried to pick some upsets so that I could maybe look good, but that went horribly wrong. TB doesn’t look that great to me, but the Rams are 0-2. Didn’t they just go to the Super Bowl last year? They came out losers though; maybe the Packers should’ve gone to the Super Bowl last year. That would’ve been turning back the clock, I could’ve been 14 all over again.......*shudders* |

Panthers 21 @ Vikings 14
Jeremy
The Vikings did everything possible to hand the game to Buffalo last week and still almost walked away with the win. If they don't commit 7 billion errors and penalties they take one from Rodney and the undefeated Panthers. Hopefully Gary Anderson will put his PATs through the uprights. The Randy countdown is at 106 receptions for 1679 yards and 20 touchdowns for the three single season records. He needs 21 receptions for 799 yards and 11 TDs to remain on pace to own every career receiving record.Matt
As much as I want Rodney Peete and his Panthers to succeed this year, I don't think the Vikings will lose this one.....even though they'll probably try to. Also, Look for the Ewing Theory to come in to play as Gary Anderson takes over the field goal and extra point duties from Doug Brien.Jon
The Vikings will smoke the Panthers' dbs. Not just Randy. The whole receiving corps. The Sass will probably even have a touchdown. Moe Williams for MVPSarah
Mike Tice should get prepared for his 1st win as the head coach of the Vikings. If they don’t win, it’s going to be a long long season.
