Bills 45 @ Vikings 39 |
JeremyThe Vikes running game rolled over the Bears and the defense was playing very well, until Biekert left the 115 degree game with cramps. Then the Vikings rolled over. They should beat the Bills at the dome. The Randy countdown is at 117 receptions for 1790 yards and 21 touchdowns for the three records. He needs 32 receptions for 910 yards and 12 TDs to remain on pace to own every career receiving record.
MattThe Vikings secondary will have to step it up against Bledsoe and his receivers and Culppeper will have to keep the Offense from fading in the second half. I think both are doable and Minnesota should edge Buffalo in a close game.
JonVikings forgot to play the fourth quarter last game. If they have a whole four quarters in them this week, look out. Randy Moss torched the Bills in the preseason; look for that again. Vikings.
SarahThe Vikings had a pretty good game last week, but unfortunately got an L in their column. Drew Bledsoe and the Bills might just surprise them at the dome. Many people have picked the Bills so I think I will go along with the crowd. |
Raiders 30 @ Steelers 17 |
JeremyPittsburgh is a hurtin unit coming off last week’s loss to New England. Oakland looks good. Rice and Brown are old but I think they can keep up with younger dbs. Still, Pittsburgh’s got a lot to prove and they are back in front of their home crowd. Get on the bus. Actually, get on Kordell’s back.
MattTo counteract the Kordell Stewart/Antwaan Randle-El "slash factor", Rich Gannon will also serve as the long snapper against the Steelers.
JonFrom what I read Rich Gannon had a decent start to the season. I watched his Counterpart in this game Kordell Stewart start last weeks game 2 for 3. Two interceptions out of 3 passes that is. Likewise, the Bus was held for only 35 yards and put the ball on the ground. Reading this makes me wonder why I picked the Steelers to win the game.
SarahTwo very good teams, and although the Steelers are picked to go to the Super Bowl, I am going to go with the ol' boys from the West side. Kordell Stewart was somewhat terrible last Monday. I hope they can pull it together by Sunday but it is just two AFC teams playing against one another so it's not too high on my must see TV. |
Eagles 37 @ Commanders 7 |
JeremySpurrier loses his first game of his NFL career on MNF. It should be a good game but I think Philly will edge out the Skins.
MattSteve Spurrier has never lost an NFL game on Monday Night. Look for that streak to continue as the potatoes roll over the Eagles.
JonWho doesn’t like Steve Spurrier? Apparently, a lot of people. It’s hard to think that Philly will go 0 and 2, but it’s just too much fun to pick Washington these days. Shane Matthews and Danny Weurffel for co-MVP!!
SarahSpurrier likes to put up the points and this could result in a very high scoring game. The Eagles may be the better team, but I think the Redskins are very excited about what they have and are going to pull the upset of the week. |

Packers 20 @ Saints 35
Jeremy
The Packers wont be able to fumble for the game saving yardage and TD every week. New Orleans is a tougher opponent than the Falcons and this one's on the road, on turf no less.Matt
The Packers were lucky to come away with a win last week at home. I think they are vastly overrated this season and will have to play dramatically better than last week to change my mind.Jon
The Green Bay Packers are about 1 - 50 on artificial turf in the Brett Favre era. Their defense looked pretty shaky at home and probably won’t do much better on the road. Meanwhile the Saints are coming off an impressive win over Tampa Bay. It’s time for Brooks to show the Packers what he’s got.Sarah
Last week's game was painful to watch. The Super Dome baby is what it's all about. Super Bowl XXXIV anyone? It is a dome of course but I am hoping that the game against Atlanta was a wake up call. The Saints also squeaked by with a win last week. I will be on pins and needles watching this game.
