| I could care less about the steroid issue personally. What I do care about is the Brewers. According to my sources Gagne was listed as an injury prone risk without the roids. I am worried the Brewers took an expensive flyer on a guy who won't see the field much. |

I don't know. Clemens' explanation seemed pretty weak. I didn't listen to the whole thing, but even the inconsistencies in McNamee's story/behavior don't really seem all that peculiar. He acted exactly how you'd expect a person trying to protect himself and those around him for a while before eventually, begrudgingly, coming clean. Clemens' entire "defense" was based on the fact that Andy Pettitte "mis-remembered" a conversation that had taken place. Despite the fact that the conversation was corroborated multiple times. Even assuming the word Clemens spent all afternoon searching for was "misinterpreted," it's still a pretty flimsy excuse to what is really just one small portion of the whole case against him. |
