At the risk of putting things on the Intertubes that need not be preserved for posterity, I had an interesting experience last night. My bedroom door has a lock and I have key for it. It can be locked from the inside but you can still open it from the inside. Mostly I only close the door when I'm sleeping. At some point I apparently locked the door without realizing it. I got home last night after a weekend of fishing and wanted to take a quick shower so I left my room headed for the bathroom and for whatever reason closed the door behind me. When I came back I discovered I was locked out of my room and my keys were in there. It's my roommates condo and I didn't know if there was a spare key but he had been asleep already when I got home. The doorknob lock was just a regular run of the mill one and on TV they just stick a credit card in there and opening it up. Of course my wallet was in my room too so that was none too helpful, but I found a thin and flexible but strong spatula in the kitchen. It took a couple of tries since I wasn't sure if you are supposed to push from the top or bottom, but I did successfully break in. And that's why watching TV is not a total waste of time.
