We download it, it's good but not my favorite show either. That sounds pretty harsh reading that back. It's a good show and I can assume will only get better as the characters mesh, and whatnot. |

So are these bee movie tv juniors actually designed to be watched by people on drugs? Or are they written by people on drugs? |

Tonight is the season finally, and I can honestly say that I expect it to be the last episode. I don't think this series has what it takes to be a multi-season winner, but I can say that I've enjoyed all of the episodes and am completely infatuated with Yvonne Strahovski, the actress who plays Sarah Walker. Don't get me wrong, great show... but does it have staying power? Your comments on this are appreciated. Zero nuts for your post, Alex. The writing may be bad, but there's been a strike. It's more than likely written for your typical 13-25 year old male, with the attempt to be whitty and smart, in a geeky way. I would expect this show to be a hit with nutcanners. tsk tsk. |

Zero nuts for you since Alex couldn't have been talking about Chuck any less. I like this show, a lot actually, but it's really inexplicable why. It's cheesy and predicable, and yet good. |

It's not. There are at least 3 more counting tonight's "finally". I think Carl failed in every way possible in that post. |

http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2007/11/nbc-orders-more.html Chuck has been given the go to do more episodes after the writer's strike is over. So to sum up, Carl couldn't have been more wrong with his post. |

I think this is the only thread where the writer's strike was mentioned, so I'll post this here. The shows I've missed the most are definitely the Daily Show and the Colbert Report. As Jon Stewert might say, sometimes you don't realize what you had until it's gone, and then comes back in a couple of months. |

Yeah, well it makes sense that you would miss those because they are on more. Not to mention most of the shows I watch on on hiatus anyway. Even if it was actually a "we know this strike is coming, lets save a few" break shows break so often now for like a month at a time that it's normal anyway. |

So uh, anyone see last night's episode? Chuck's acting like some kind of righteous sissy because Sarah popped a cap in some dude, and he thought it was in cold blood. Shouldn't he know by now that 1) you gotta trust the hot chick 2) shes acting in your best interest and 3) since when do the clandestine organizations operate in any moral manner (if you can trust TV, movies and books to portray them correctly). |

Yeah, that's what I said. That guy knew way too much, and Chuck knew that. Even if he missed the first part of the conversation is it that big of a deal? He's a huge security risk and a treasonous agent, Chuck has seen Sara[h] kill tons of people already (I think, she's certainly shot at a lot of people), and for all Chuck knows her orders was to take the guy out.

Not going to argue with you guys on your main point that ... on second thought maybe I do need to argue that. I will agree with points 2 and 3 and that the guy knew too much, Chuch knew the guy knew too much, and without putting any more effort into fact checking than Jeremy did, I also think Sarah has killed people before. What I don't agree with is your reaction to Chuck's reaction. His whole deal is that he is a kind, unselfish person so just because the guy was a Fulcrum agent and a threat wouldn't justify his killing for Chuck, if he could be captured alive. What makes it worse is he thinks that deep down Sarah is the same kind of person, then she pops a cap in this dude. So now he feels betrayed, which in a way probably bothers him more than the actual fact that the bad guy is dead. Plus, and this is a big plus, when he asks Sarah what happens she blatantly lies to his face (pretty much killing the "her orders was to take the guy out" theory, because most likely she would've just said that then), which is a second betrayal. |

So if what Alex says is true, then Chuck is delusioned as to the true nature of the world in general. Sure, he wants Sarah to be "good" deep down, but ultimately she is acting for the greater good- not only chuck's wellbeing, but for national/global security. To think that Live and Let Live applies in a world of Terrorism is naive and downright dangerous. The Agent (who was the mean TV producer on Mall Rats, by the by) mentioned that he was fairly high up, and therefor Fulcrum would have taken drastic measures to get him back- including a raid or rescue mission. What I want to also mention was that I think our Three Heros are screwed, since Fulcrum knew that Sarah and Casey are CIA/NSA whatever. The fact that Fulcrum still thinks Bryce has the intercept and that it's a device or data stored on a device saves Chuck from some danger, but what about the other two? |

Yeah, the Buy More cover is blown. Even if the guy didn't take 5 seconds to call everyone at Fulcrum HQ to let them know where the thing they want more than anything is, just in case, they saw that guy taking Chuck on the news, so I wouldn't be surprised if they put two and two together there. (And the not-dead driver dude knows. Though, I assume he didn't go to "regular" jail either.) I'm pretty sure the whole thing is blown. In fact, it would be a pretty huge plot hole for it not to be blown. Alex Wrote - Today @ 12:48:06 PM He was already freaking out before the lie, and I'm pretty sure he's busted her in "you don't need to know all the details" lies like 100 times before. Their standing orders have always been to keep Chuck in the dark as much as possible while still carrying out missions. Plus, and this is a big plus, when he asks Sarah what happens she blatantly lies to his face (pretty much killing the "her orders was to take the guy out" theory, because most likely she would've just said that then), which is a second betrayal. |

If what I think I heard was true, then I think they may try to just pretend those holes are gone. The next episode is supposedly in Feb (ok, just verified, Feb 2nd) so there is a lot of time where a person could forget about those details. Plus, as I said last year, the attention span of this show's probable target market is measured in miliseconds so whatever works. If they bury these details, it won't kill me. |

Well, these things can be explained as lame excuses if they want, it's just that I don't see how ignoring it is possible. I like Casey and Sarah, but there's no way they would be allowed to protect Chuck anymore. They've been made. The only way out of this I see is that they beat it out of the driver/kidnapper that really only the two of them knew about Sarah and Casey and they were trying to make it big in Fulcrum so they did this on the DL, even then I find it hard to believe, but I'd accept a lame rationale over ignoring it. I mean really, if you think about it the whole "stay at the Buy More" thing is a completely unnecessary, if not outright idiotic, thing anyway. Everyone in Chuck's life wants him to grow up anyway, so a cover that he got some big fancy office job no one can know about makes much more sense. Hell, a cover that he works for the government makes even more sense, since then everyone in his life would just understand there's certain things he cant talk about. |

I loved it. They made room to keep it fresh next season and what could be better than Chuck not being a total goon now? Also, they actually addressed some back story plot lines nicely. Pretty much nailed it. |

I don't know. I think they did a pretty decent job with that aspect. He's just a normal dude dropped into some pretty intense situations. They turned it up a little bit because it's entertainment, but at the same time I never felt like I was watching a Ben Stiller-Esq "LAWLS-Look how many things can go wrong for me! It's so funny how everything I touch turns to crap!" type show. |

I agree that they kept it from being too overboard most of the time, but his "woe is me, I want a normal life" routine was starting to get old. Which is basically what he realized at the end before he downloaded the new intersect. So I guess I'm actually more excited about him presumably "being a hero" more in a mental sense now then a physical sense. In other words, lose the reluctant, under-qualified hero complex and be the man. |

Basically, the same thing the judges start telling the contestants on American Idol in the middle to late rounds. I will now explode all my TVs for knowing that. Also, I tried asking for the ham at the cafeteria today only to be told that it was actually turkey. Needless to say, I went with the catfish. |

I agree, the "woe is me" attitude was starting to wear a little thin, especially since in a lot of ways it didn't make sense. He wanted to leave Buy More for a "real job" and was offered one, he turned it down to be more "normal," even though he was more or less being offered a desk job, and for that matter the job of his dreams he was just talking about a few shows/hours earlier. He wanted to stay with Sarah, and that was his chance to do that too.

Is anyone still watching this? I thought it jumped the shark when we found out Chuck's dad had an underground bunker that seemed to stretch for miles under a little whitehouse. This week's episode sealed the deal. The general shooting a bazooka all the way to Morocco or someplace from where? Washington DC? Ridic. |
