I've been following the Timberwolves more than usual this year, and they look like they could be a real exciting team. They still can't play defense, and they make too many mistakes, but Kevin Love and Michael Beasley are playing like studs right now. Kevin Love put up a 23 point, 24 rebound game against the Lakers earlier this week and topped that with a 31 point, 31 rebound game last night (first 30-30 game since Moses Malone in 1982). Meanwhile, Michael Beasley has put up 2 straight big games (scoring 42 points against the Kings and 35 against the Knicks). http://1500espn.com/sportswire/Kevin_Love_has_a_historic_night_in_112103_win_over_the_Knicks111210 http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=301112016 |

Or did the coaching staff determine he is, in fact, more useful on the court? I guess the organization is changing. Maybe Love and Beasley will actually be on the team one year from now too. But I wouldn't count on it. Is it wrong of me to be so negative about a team I barely follow? I can tell you one thing about the NBA. Actually I'll tell you two. One is that I think this could be a really exciting season. The other thing is that Blake Griffin is really fun to watch and I want him on my team. |

I agree with both you. I loosely follow the Wolves and the NBA this early in the season, but I think so far the Love and Beasley could be a solid combo. They will need a lot more pieces around them, but who knows maybe this team can be competitive in a year or two. Oklahoma City sucked a few years ago and now they are the talk of the league. I just hope that they stick with these young guys and stop starting over every year. Is Rubio ever going to be a Timberwolf? |

The highlights in these two videos are from the most recent two weeks of a season that is 6.5 months long. Who'd have thought a Pistons Clippers game would provide such entertainment? |

Not going to watch it twice to double check but I think each time a score was included the Clippers were losing. |

Well they've only won one game so far, so that's quite likely. Still, the athletes I've been most "wowed" by this fall have been Blake Griffin and Percy Harvin. (Combined 4 wins by the way.) Also, Adrian Peterson makes the list, but he's more established. |

Looks like Yao is out for probably an extended period of time. It's a sad thing about guys like Yao and Oden and countless others. It seems that bodies that large are hard to keep intact under the stresses of the game. The success stories of the really big seem to be the exception rather than the rule. However, if there is one good thing about the most recent injury, it's that it brought about this line from an article (Yao speaking): "I haven't died," he said. "Right now I'm drinking a beer and eating fried chicken. What were you expecting, a funeral?" source: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5926989 |

Kevin Love puts up 43 points and 17 rebounds, but the Timberwolves still lose to the Nuggets 115-113. http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=301218007 The T-Wolves are getting frustrating to watch. They have a bunch of young players with potential, and show flashes of being good, but usually end up blowing the game in the end. |

I have not any games live, but it always seems like the same story every game. Love has a great game but Wolves lose. Its seems like they either blow a big lead or come back from a big lead but always lose in the end. This should be on the coach. |

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=6147372 DeMar DeRozen for Prime Minister. Actually, I don't want a ban of props, I just don't want people to be rewarded for lame gimmick dunks. |

WE GOT RUBIO!!!!!!! Seriously though, this is good news but it is still far from certain that Rubio will become a productive player, let alone a difference maker, in the NBA. T-Wolves fans, however, don't have much else, and at least this provides some hope of a turnaround in the future. |

Does this mean the end of Johnny Flynn? |

I think it was the end of Flynn no matter what Rubio did. |
