So a couple weeks ago or so Jon told me that Justin Vernon, a kid who was just ahead of us in high school, had a song on "House" with his new band Bon Iver.

I had forgotten about it up until yesterday when I did a little digging to find out which scene. As it turns out it's pretty much THE "House" scene to date. (Not to mention at the very least the culmination of a 2 part season finale.) Not a bad "get" as far as shows and scenes go.

It's the first song. [Spoiler Alert]


Also, it turns out that it's not a "band" per se. This is really his first solo album that he recorded at a cabin up north after some setbacks and an illness. Also, according to Craig, Bon Iver couldn't BE any bigger amongst the Indie music crowd.

Within the last couple days they were also on Conan.

What other bands was he in in high school? Seems a few come to mind, but I'm not sure.

It's the ending of the second half of the finale from last season (post writers strike)

From what I've heard, the Europeans enjoy Bon Iver too.
Then again, maybe it's just the indie music europeans.

I assume this will change to a new band at some point, but it looks like you'd be able to get to Bon Iver with the links at the bottom.
