At Least 1 Killed as New England Fans Turn Violent
Violence Mars Super Bowl Celebration
So, critics of the Iraq war, decry the leadership for soldiers not being able to control riots and looting in a strange land the size of California. Meanwhile trained law enforcement can't stop riots (that they know will happen, mind you) after a Super Bowl.
Now, I'm not trying to criticize the law enforcement of Boston or any other city in the past. If the populous decides to start acting like a bunch of criminals, there isn't much you can do, even when you're trained for the job and know the area. I'm just trying to show how ridiculous it was for critics to expect the military to have prevented all rioting in Iraq, when we can't even prevent all rioting in our own country.

That's beyond terrible. I don't think people's main trouble with the Iraq war was controling riots. I think the main problem, even with the riots, is putting soldiers in harms way trying to control, an uncontrolable situation. |

I didn't say that that was people's main problem with the war. I said that opponents of the war were critizing them for not preventing the riots, and that it was unfair, because there are somethings that you just cant control, even with the best training and planning available. |
