The Media apparently have something against white quarterbacks

I try not to bring some of these things up because most of them are just rediculous, but this one has to be heard. Rush Limbaugh says that the reason the media is so hard on Rex Grossman is simply because he is a white quarterback. Has Limbaugh ever watched a single NFL game? This guy is nuts. I thought he was out of line and inaccurate when he said that McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black qb do well, but this latest comment is just obsurd. There were two white quarterbacks in the Super Bowl, and there are lots of white quarterbacks in the NFL. I think the sports media judges players mainly on their performance, not the color of their skin. Apparenly Limbaugh wants has white power structure to look past the fact that Grossman is shaky at best. How does this moron explain the media's love affair for Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, John Elway, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, etc. And the media seems to be pretty darn critcal of Michael Vick and Dante Culpepper, and now McNabb.

Anyway, Rush Limbaugh is the biggest joke on the air, regardless of what the subject of the day is. But this kind of thing makes me even more upset. Grossman was the worst QB at times in the NFL this season, no kidding the media is going to be a little hard on him. He had four games with a QB rating under 40 (most in the NFL). He had a lot of good games, but none of the criticism had anything to do with his skin color.

That's all I've got to say about that.

Also since no one actually commented on this I will. While it's no secret Limbaugh is forever enshrined in the "Blowhard Hall of Fame" once in a while he says things that just make you stop in your tracks (His comments on Michael J Fox's political ad) or things like this that are just so void of logic it blows your mind. I haven't seen this anywhere, so it's speculation, but I would be shocked if Rex wasn't quantifiably the worst QB to take a team to a Superbowl. He has to at least be up there. You could argue he was the worst quarterback this year. To top it off this was a battle of two white quarterbacks, how could the media single one out and beat him down based on him being white. (I know his comments weren't limited to the Super Bowl per se) Rex Grossman had at least 2 games with a QB rating near 10, that is hard to accomplish and any criticism sent his way he earned. The issue, if there is one, has more to do with laziness in the media. They pick a storyline and beat it into the ground. Peyton Manning has a monkey on his back, but is one team victory away from instantaneously becoming one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history. Rex Grossman sucks.
