Koren Robinson is cut. Wasn't he supposed to be one of the standouts on the Vikings offense this year? This probably sucks for Viking fans, but in another light, it could be the new head coach (from Wisconsin) is setting a tone early about the type of players he wants on his team.

They took a chance that he could get his act together and it didn't pan out. As a corp the Vikes' WRs are still good, they just lack 'the guy'. Koren had potential to be that guy, maybe someone else can step up. Maybe they'll make a move for some other teams' disgruntled WR.

The ironic thing about Koren's incident is that the only reason he was going so fast was because otherwise he was going to miss curfew and was afraid of the ramifications.

I don't think it was as much of a "set a tone" move so much as it was a "he'll probobly be suspended anyway, so we may as well look like we're setting a tone" move.
