Don't forget Scrubs Season Premiere is on ABC at 8:00 and there are 2 NEW episodes! From what I've seen/read, the crew has realized they'd strayed from the good stuff back in the earlier seasons and are recapturing that with this season. Hurrah! |

I actually watched both episodes. I don't remember Scrubs being that funny, but these episodes were hilarious, and somewhat moving at the same time. |

I laughed and cried. They were pretty good I'd say. We'll see how the rest of the season goes. |

It wasn't as bad as I was worried it was going to be. The plot lines weren't exactly new, but Courteney Cox seems to be a good addition. |

I think they need to find a better balance with the dialog. It seemed like there were 300 new characters introduced and they all had 10 lines. |

I didn't mean to say that Scrubs wasn't funny in the past, just that these two episodes were not stop laughter. |

I know, when they found out that old guy was dying and had no family, then they sat and waited for him to die. Hilarious! |

Seasons 1-5 were funny, seasons 6 and 7 sucked and sucked hard respectively. As for the first two episodes of season 8, the second one was much better than the first. If they keep it up, this season will definitely be better than the last two, but I have my doubts that it will ever be as good as it used to be (which is not to say that it can't be a good show even if it doesn't reach peak Scrubs levels). |

I for one am looking forward to the increasingly lame/far fetched ways to get Kelso on the show. I'm putting the over/under on number of shows before he's a long-term-yet-fine-enough-to-be-up-and-around-patient or un-retired at 3. |

I liked the line on the first episode where JD says something along the lines of "It's our 8th year! I think we owe it to our patients to get back to the way things were in the first couple years." It was like the writers were trying to prove a point or something. | ||

Two solid episodes the other night. My hopes for the ABC era are rising. Also, unless I missed him, I don't think Turk was even in the first episode this week. |

I found them a little sub par. I feel like they were closer to the Scrubs of the previous two seasons than to the good era of Scrubs. But the first two of this season were good. |

Are they going out of their way to ensure that Turk and JD are never in the same episode? How many episodes have Turk, JD, Carla, and Elliot all been in? How about them and Dr. Cox, Dr. Kelso, and the Janitor? |

This was a good episode, except for the fact that it was only Turk and Elliot and some interns. Can't they all get along and do one episode all together?!?!?!?! |

If I had to make wild speculations about something I could probably easily look up I'd guess that when it looked like Scrubs would be no more they all lined up other projects, so they all needed a skip day now ant then to go work on them. This doesn't explain though the fact that they've virtually never all been in the same episode. In fact the one instance I can recall where they were recently all together (the big 4 anyway), Elliot was in the episode for a total of a minute, and I'm pretty sure the scene in questioned was faked. JD and Elliot are at one table, and the other people are at another. |

I enjoyed last night's episode. They are getting quite reflective, which I guess coincides with the age of the characters. But all in all, I'm liking these new episodes. |

Yeah, I liked last night's episode. In a lot of ways the show can actually be better without J.D. but really only because they've turned his character into someone who's insufferable 40% of the time, and does slapstick that gets kind of old 50% of the time. It sure seems like they're prepping for life without a bunch of the main people, especially after last night's episode which a) Contained the fewest amount of "main" characters to date. (Not even a token shot of Carla, JD, Dr Cox, Kelso, or The Janitor. Even a few other episodes they weren't really in worked in one shot/phone call) and b) Actually established that Elliot want's to quit someday in the not too distant future. (How far off can "married with a couple kids" be for a woman in her mid thirties? If it's going down, it's going down sooner than later.) |

I was going to comment on Better Off Ted, and how I've been watching that after Scrubs. It does seem to be pretty funny. It is that it is so rediculous that makes it so funny. |

Ridiculous, yet so relatable. It's like an updated version of Office Space, with the added genius of being set in a huge company so they can foray into any product line imaginable. Can you buy stock in TV shows? Cause I would buy this show. |

Yeah, I'm in agreement that this last Scrubs show was good. I just watched it. The two or so previous to this have been awful. I think the show is probably better if they limit themselves and aren't concerned with trying to be funny in the previous ways they've been funny and making references to how it should be funny because of that. Simpler is probably better. Also, better off ted is ok, but I wouldn't buy stock in it. Here's my theory on one of its flaws: It's a little much. And the main character, though he acknowledges it's messed up, doesn't seem to care THAT much. Can the viewers really fully embrace him if his only difference from the rest of the bigwigs at the company is that he's slightly more self-aware? He hasn't really got that quality of Jim from the Office or the main character in Office Space where he seems more normal than "the man" so to speak. Ted is more like "the man" who happens to be photogenic and have a camera following him. |

Turns out, just because you write your name on something doesn't mean you get to keep it. Ted: Yeah, I think babies have to be notarized |

http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/fall-tv-cheat-s.html Scrubs is renewed, so is Chuck and Better off Ted. I wonder if Chuck got renewed because I sent a letter to NBC's president of programming.... I should probably take all the credit. |

Hooray for Chuck, Castle, and Better Off Ted! Are any of the main Scrubs characters coming back? The only one canceled that I watched is The Unusuals. I attempted to watch Harper's Island to throw CBS a bone but it was fairly horrible. Seriously, who watches that network? |

I'm disappointed a bit for The Unusuals. It's one of the few hourlong shows I enjoyed. Same thing for "Life," though it had been declining a bit, but it was still good. I was shocked to see My Name is Earl is not safe. It didn't have its best season, but I still think it's one of the most clever shows on tv, and has that Scrubs-type thing going for it where it's wacky comedy with "heart." It's certainly of higher quality than Parks and Rec. (which I kind of like, by the way, but it's not in the same class as Earl) |

http://www.tvovermind.com/scrubs/scrubs-season-9-2/14455#axzz0YGKDcSKt Scrubs Season 9 Premiere is on Tuesday (December 1st). I thought Zach Braff would guest star occasionally, but it looks like he's starring in it. I watched all the clips and I can't tell if it's going to be any good. One clip shows them doing something they'd already done in a previous episode with the Guy Love song over it. I'll have to watch though to get a final verdict, and everyone else should too! Ooo, on a complete side note that still kind of goes with this blog, they moved the premiere of Chuck up to January and the commercials for it look delicious! |

It's not the greatest, there's really no story, but there's enough funny lines to keep me watching for a while yet, purely for comedic value. So what about Scrubs? I actually think they have something decent with the newer characters, but they're forcing in the old ones too much. I'm just kind of worn out on J.D. and Turk. It would be better with just the new newbies and Cox. Although maybe after this "growing up" episode tonight it will be better. And according to wikipedia J.D. is only in the first 6 episodes anyway. |

Scrubs has not been the best either. JD is a bit much, but there have been some good moments between those two, and yea, he's only going to be around for like 3 more episodes. I don't like the new people especially James Franco's little brother (he needs to change his tone, it's very grating to listen to even though I suppose that's the point). Dr. Cox is just way over theatrical, even for Dr. Cox. Maybe it'll grow on me, but so far I just watch it because I feel obligated to. |
