Here is the official World Series blog.

Through the LCSs, I've been pretty uninterested in the playoffs. Not because I didn't want to be into it, but because in most of the matchups, I was either quite indifferent toward the teams or I disliked both teams.

But, I think this series is pretty interesting. Chicago is probably built the best for winning a championship, but the Astros aren't far behind. Plus, Biggio and Bagwell make it interesting.

I'm going for the Astros.

The White Sox's bullpen hasn't been used in over a week. That could be either really good or really bad. They will definitely be rested, but it could almost be too much rest. Now, if their starting pitchers do what they did in the LCS it won't matter. I don't see that happening though.

I would give the Pitching matchup to the White Sox. If the Sox pitchers hadn't pulled off the most impressive performance in playoff history, I would probably give the edge to the team with 1, maybe 2 Hall of Fame type pitchers. But given what happened in the LCS, the White Sox have earned my respect.

Offensively, I'm going with the Astros. Berkman, Biggio, Mike Lamb, guys people have never heard of. They seem to come up with clutch hits like no other team. And I think it is arguable that the Astros already beat the best team in Baseball in the Cardinals. Yeah, it's debateable, but that's what I think.

Managers: I'm going with the Astros again. Phil Garner is a great Manager. I know he managed for like 8 years with the Brewers and never managed a winning season, but here's my argument on that subject. If Garner was a bad manager, the Brewers would have canned him after maybe 4 years, 5 at the tops. He had something special that they liked. The Real reason is even more impressive. The Astros were 15-30 at one time during the season. And he did something very similar when he took control of the team late last season. On top of all that, he is a overall a very nice guy. I got his autograph once, and he was as happy as a triple A player to be giving out his autograph to fans.

I'm going to root for the Astros, although I do like both teams. I predict an Astros victory.

Supporting Garner because he lead his team to 15-30 and then got them rally makes no sense to me. It's like a class where you get graded on how much your skills improved over the course of the semester instead of how good you actually are. In the case of a MLB manager all I want to see is results. That's what Ozzie has provided for the Sox and that's how he manages. Plus, Garner should have walked Pujols.

Pitching is a push.

Offensively, I'll take the Sox. They've been more consistent throughout the year and they play better small ball, thus giving them a better chance to win the close games.

I'm rooting the Sox and I think they'll win. I mean seriously White Sox -> WS and World Series -> WS and WS = WS. Game over.

Well, Garner took a team last season that had a losing record in July all the way to the NLCS. I think it makes sense. Ozzie is also basically a rookie Manager. That isn't necessarily a negative, but Garner has been around for a long time. And I think everyone would agree that if 2 managers are considered equal, the one who doesn't have the DH automatically is the better manager. It's pretty much a fact.

Here's something crazy: Jeff Bagwell and Frank Thomas....both born May 27, 1968....both drafted in '89......both MVPs in '94......both making to their first World Series......both may not even play (Bagwell at best will be DH while in Chicago)......weird.

Ozzie may not have as much overall experience, but I think he has as much World Series experiece as Garner. The DH does make things more interesting on a game-by-game basis, but now you're trying to compare apples to oranges.

I think the Brewers should change their name to the Brew Sox, just for next year. It would be a guaranteed World Series win.

If Torii Hunter really wants to stay in Minnesota, he should stop acting like Doug Mientkiewicz and keep his mouth closed.

New coach no hit with Hunter
