Public Enemy #1
"Washington Nationals: Cristian Guzman. Guzman is hitting .201 with a .239 on-base percentage and .291 slugging percentage. Why was he still playing every day until his recent hamstring injury? He's the worst regular in baseball, having one of the least valuable seasons in history. They have to sit his sorry butt on the bench. It's not even an issue and if he's still playing after the All-Star break, it says a lot about Frank Robinson, Jim Bowden and the Nats' pennant chances."

just a side note Ann Coulter literally (and I think seriously) refers to Democrats as Terrorists. I don't think she's joking. I think she actually believes that Democrats are behind the terror attacks. Just thought you'd like to know. Oh, and for our Fox News Fans, this is my way of keeping things Fair and Balanced, because this is apparently the opinion of the Right. |

How about that David Ortiz guy? Good thing the Twins got rid of him. |

Boone's skills have clearly declined (Age/Steroids?) and he has had a horrible year so far. That said the Twins gave up virtually nothing to get him so I don't mind giving him a chance to see if a new situation will give him a spark. This is also good news if it means that Rivas is finally done with the Twins. Where this situation could go wrong is if Boone comes over and still sucks, yet the Twins keep playing him and players like Punto/Bartlett/Cuddyer/L. Rodriguez lose time when they could be as, if not more productive than Boone. |

Changing topics... This article/interview is interesting and raises some points worth thinking about. It also demonstrates something I like about Economics; that in many things the real solution is the opposite the "conventional wisdom" solution. For God's Sake, Please Stop the Aid! |

Interesting. It should be noted that the intention of doubling the aid was to set up infrastructure so that the rest of the aid actually gets to the people, but I think he makes good points as well. It's a "teach a man to fish" situation. Perhaps the trick is to export McDonalds' rather than food. Levis plant rather than a pile of pants. They get jobs and get the food/pants anyway. |

ps - We did need to write of the debt if they were ever going to stand a chance on their own. Also there is more than food and clothes that a developing area needs money for. Roads, irrigation, drinking water, power, ect... They can build that and pay local laborers to do the grunt type work. That's win-win. |

Not that this my area of expertise, but I'd say he's probably more right than wrong. The Brewers are 7.5 back in the wild card chase, and I saw some statistics that based on their total runs scored and total runs allowed, their record should be more like .523 instead of .477. That would put them about 3 games back. So with that in mind, and their having 42 home games vs 32 road games remaining, and the fact that we all know Sheets has missed a good chunk of time and can pitch better than he has, coupled with the odds of the Braves (leading the wild card chase) continuing at their pace with a team half full of rookies, and if they can just get a few guys to be consistent at the plate, I think they have a good chance to make a run. |

the favor or home games for the brewers is a good sign. The "boom goes the dynamite" guy was just on letterman. |

Just to let everyone know, the Brewers picked up a full game in the wild card chase today, down to 6.5 back. |

Saturday night, 2 page 3 writers and one page 3 reader witnessed the 2nd largets crowd in Miller Park history. The Brewers lost a tough game 5-3, but it was still a cool experience. There were 45,078 people at the game, and Miller park only has seating for 42,200. That's pretty exciting according to me. |

I'm currently 7,835 (98%) in the world for Yahoo! fantasy NASCAR. I blame you 3 for the Brewer's loss. No more games for you! |
